The number 20 VIH Whole House Water Filter System 150166 is ideal for residential, commercial, and industrial water filter applications. The Valve-in-Head (VIH) patented technology allows for easy water filter cartridge replacement. The pressure release button on the cap allows for release of the whole house water filter pressure in order to more easily unscrew the sump from the cap. Whole house water filter housings extend the life of washing machines, water heaters, and other household appliances by reducing sediment before it reaches the appliances. The 20-inch standard whole house housings have thick walls for increased strength. The Valve-in-Head involves a simple half-turn of the shut-off valve in the cap to shut off the water supply when changing a water filter. No need to purchase additional shut-off valves (saves $10). Leaking and clogging is prevented by the dynamically sealing, self-cleaning o-ring. Connecting two number 20 Standard Housings: Two number 20 standard housings can be connected with a pipe nipple or pipe union. The union will allow for adjustment of the fitting in the event of leakage. NP-34: Use this pipe nipple to connect two number 20 Housings with 3/4-inch inlet/outlets. Reducing the 3/4-inch inlet/outlet of the number 20 Standard Housings–M3438: Use this pipe nipple to install the number 20 Housing on a 3/8-inch water line. The nipple reduces the 3/4-inch inlet/outlet on the housing to fit the 3/8-inch water line. M3412–Use this pipe nipple to install the number 20 Housing on a 1/2-inch water line. The nipple reduces the 3/4-inch inlet/outlet on the housing to fit the 1/2-inch water line.
